Where Sarka Started
Sarka spent 24 years in corporate procurement. She was working more than 10 hours a day and struggling with burnout. Her dream was to become a stylist and offer online styling, mainly for women and mainly business fashion.
Her email list was close to zero, maybe 30 people.
She joined my 12 days of masterclasses at Christmas. Two things made her hesitate before she joined SOMBA® Kickstart. The first was the price:
“The cost is high. On the other side, if you pay high price, you are motivated to do something. You need to be serious.”
The second was time. Could she build a business next to a full-time job?
What Happened in SOMBA® Kickstart
She built her business next to her full-time job, and she is honest that it was hard:
“It’s possible to do it in parallel to the full-time job, which obviously it is, but it’s very, very challenging.”
Her target was 100 people on her email list. She reached more than 200.
At the end she offered a limited group program. It did not sell. She thinks the price was too high for where she was, and she needs to be more specific with her niche.
Where She Is Now
When we recorded her review, Sarka had decided to make her business her full-time job. She saw that people are interested in what she does, and she knows what to do next:
- Make her niche more specific
- Grow a bigger email list and community
- Be consistent
“You really need to run the business, not do it occasionally when you have time. You need to do it consistently, otherwise it will never work.”
